Join us on this week’s Hop-On Wine Tour to D’Angelo Estate Winery, Colchester Ridge Estate Winery, and Muscedere Vineyards for a unique wine touring experience. Gather your friends and family and enjoy a relaxing day trip through the winery gems of Essex County.
In 1979 Salvatore D’Angelo began his search for land on which to plant his vineyard. An accomplished amateur winemaker, his ambition was to start his own winery within the heart of Essex County. In 1983 he bought 50 acres of land in Amherstburg and in 1984 Sal planted his first acre of grapes. Today, the magnificent vineyard occupies forty-two acres of the fifty-acre property of D’Angelo Estate Winery. Sal has read every book he can get his hands on about wine, thoroughly studying all aspects of growing and making it. Today, D’Angelo Vineyards has eight acres of vines planted in the Okanagan Valley on the renowned Naramata Bench in British Columbia. This makes Sal the first individual grower-vintner to produce wines in both Ontario and British Columbia. Join us in visiting Sal’s winery on the first stop of this weekend’s Hop-On Wine Tour.

Colchester Ridge Estate Winery (CREW)
CREW is owned by the husband and wife team of Bernard and Nancy Gorski. Along with their employees, they strive to create a warm and inviting atmosphere so customers feel truly at home. The CREW vineyard boasts 12 acres of vines, consisting of vinifera varietals. The charming retail store accommodates numerous guests and offers complimentary tastings. Guests can also enjoy the Lake Erie breeze in their lovely picnic area. CREW painstakingly tends grapes, taking the utmost care at every step to produce exceptional wines for you to enjoy and remember.
